Try finishing off some nice box work with a pair of blunt, out of shape shears, its not fun.... So first thing is first, buy better and buy once. Good quality out the box will prove it's self in ability and longevity. Secondly, just because you brought good quality doesn't mean you don't have to maintain it. Take the time to clean your equipment and keep it serviced. This could be a simple sharpen of a blade to keep your secateurs in tip top condition or a yearly service on your mower, but as long as you are keeping on top of it then you will get the most from your equipment.
